I’ve not seen machines designed to generate espresso freddo directly. (I’m assuming that you’re not interested in a carnival-style espresso-flavored Icee/Slushy but rather a true espresso drink.) I think that as close as you’ll get would be to buy a super automatic espresso machine (or single-serve machine, or fully automatic machine, etc) and complete ice-related part of the process with the produced espresso yourself.

I see Krups at Wal-Mart and Target, and, to say the least, I’m never impressed. Are their superautomatics any better than the cheap-quality coffee makers/espresso machines I see at retail stores? I have seen one of their superautos at Bed Bath & Beyond, and it didn’t look like anything to write home about…

I would not use denture tablets nor vinegar but I would use descaling tablets for your saeco from http://www.seattlecoffeegear.com or http://www.wholelattelove.com

If you are looking for something that will be able to descale deposits, try using white vinegar. It has been around for centuries, and is really effective and pure. Unless you research what is in a generic denture table, you are better off with vinegar.

I’m thinking the opposite, the machine does one espresso or 1/2 a cup of coffee in a single cycle, otherwise how would you do the multiple cups ?
you want to run the thing a bunch of times before making your first cup anyway.
